Accessibility statement
We build this website with accessibility in mind and test it as we go. If something gets in your way, tell us and we will fix it.
What we build in
- A skip link to the main content on every page
- Menus you can open, move through and close with a keyboard, with focus returned to where you were
- A visible focus outline on every link, button and field
- Tap targets at least 44 pixels tall on phones, with space between them
- Text and background colors chosen for contrast, and support for high-contrast (forced colors) modes
- Less motion for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion
- Descriptive page titles, one main heading per page and headings in order
- Form fields with visible labels and the right keyboard on phones
How we test
- Automated checks. Every page is run through Google Lighthouse’s accessibility audit on mobile and desktop before changes go out.
- Keyboard checks. We tab through the menus and forms after every change to the header or a form.
- Phone checks. We check every page at phone width for sideways scrolling and tap-target size.
